In 2009, Parents as Teachers will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Thoughts and ideas are already churning and we’d like your input. Parents as Teachers and the National Center have come a long way in the last few decades. We invite you to share your thoughts about how this achievement should be celebrated.
My kids would love to give a gift to their parent educator— can you commission a gift plaque of some sort?
I’d love to see a special 25th anniversary Web site/blog where “graduates” of the PAT program, and their parents, could post memories and photos of their PAT experiences, as well as ways the program positively affected their lives. You could also create a mini-LinkedIn “directory” where PAT kids and parents could reconnect with their Parent Educators. I’d love to reconnect with the Parent Educator who was so helpful when my now five-year-old was a baby!
Mistie,
